Black Myth: Wukong est un action-RPG, proposant une histoire solo, dans une adaptation libre du célèbre roman de Wu Cheng’en : « La pérégrination vers l’Ouest » (« Journey to the West » en anglais). Ce célèbre mythe chinois, qui est paru à la fin du XVIe siècle, a pour héros principal, Sūn Wù Kōng, un singe immortel, le Roi Singe. Au vu des premiers médias, il serait possible de jouer un des singes spirituels, à la sauce d'un God of War notamment. Il va falloir attendre de plus amples informations sur l'histoire et le ou les héros.
