Bandai Namco a annoncé pendant son événement Sword Art Online x The Irregular at Magic High School du Tokyo Game Show qu'un troisième jeu Sword Art Online est en cours de développement.
Si le support choisi est inconnu pour le moment, le mystère sera levé le 5 octobre prochain au Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival.
L'éditeur a également profité de l'événement pour dévoiler une collaboration entre Sword Art Online : Hollow Fragment et The Irregular at Magic High School : Out of Order. Des costumes de Kirito et Asuna seront ainsi proposés dans The Irregular at Magic High School : Out of Order et des uniformes « First Magic High School » seront ajoutés dans Sword Art Online : Hollow Fragment.
